HAPPY 21st KROBBIE!

Ciao my friends J

Well today is Tuesday, practically my weekend begins now. Italian tomorrow and then hello weekend J!!

First of all, HAPPY 21ST (FINALLY) BIRTHDAY to one of my bestest friends since grade school KATIE ROBERT! You know I wish I was there and sorry the videos haven’t been working that I want to post to your facebook! HAVE FUN, be careful, and listen to my great advice J! HAHA!

Well my 7 hour time change for once paid off and since I was up at 7- I actually got to wish her happy birthday right on time J haha!

Well what’s new with me today? Went to financial accounting. I WASN’T THE ONLY ONE IN CLASS THIS WEEK J THANKFULLY!

Then I went and worked out…… after baking class tonight I am glad I did! And then went to the market and got some more of my obsession with dried kiwi and I tried dried oranges and dried pineapple! The oranges weren’t very good though. Then I bought some fresh kiwi, carrots, and fresh blood oranges J because my nutrition needs to be better here. I start my diet tomorrow. My nutrition here STINKS! Esp. since nikki is coming in 18 days (who’s counting?), we will be consuming so many baked items, my body will hate me! HAHA!

But then I went to another day of my baking class. SUCCESS! Today we got to make the croissants and danishes! They were SO DELICIOUS of course! I finally got to make croissants, it was like a dream come true J! And I didn’t know it but we also got to make puff pastry today too! It’s always been a dream to see that stuff made too! All of the dough we made was so time consuming and everything had to be put through the rollers so many times, but it was worth it!! We didn’t make the normal American danishes I am used to. We made the dough into croissants and then a few twists and other shapes. Plus we soaked some raisins in rum and put those and chocolate chips in the center of the dough and rolled them up into cinnamon roll looking things. Others we made plain and the others we stuffed with apricot jam. Surprisingly enough I actually liked the apricot stuffed ones! Then for the croissants, we made some plain normal shaped and then we made up shapes. With both the danish and croissant dough- I loved making them into wonton looking things. HAHA For the croissants this time, we stuffed them with chocolate chips and patted them down into these flat pieces of dough. I wish I had some nutella to put in the plain ones though! HAHA! Then for the puff pastry, we made a rice mix that looked disgusting and then the good filling was made with ricotta cheese, strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice! Everything of course was so good and of course my body consumed so many carbs it was ridiculous! Another week of calling that my dinner! HAHA! I had told Valerie before class to stop me from eating as much as I have the last 2 weeks because the last 2 weeks I have felt so sick! L HAHA! But whatevs, when else am I going to be able to eat all this GREAT STUFF! We got our paper assignment in class today too! I am actually excited, it’s considered a research paper and we can choose whatever pastry chef we want and write a paper about them! I haven’t decided who I want to do yet! For once I am excited for a paper? Weird. J

Now I am adding my photos of course for everyone to see and going to finish watching The Italian Job! I love that movie! SO cool to say in the beginning when they are in Venice—I was there J! HAHA!

And hey, anyone who has facebook, totally watch the video Briana tagged to me. It’s freekin hysterical and I know Seigs especially is going to be like typical shelley at the end! J

Otherwise, this weekend will be a blast of course and I cannot wait!

I wish I could win the lottery and fly over the long list of people I want to come here!

Miss and love you all! J

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN TO KROB!! Can’t wait to celebrate when I return! J
