Getting lost in the ghetto!

SO weird to think this time last week I was still prepping to leave and that it’s almost been a week since I left..

Story because of KELLY and AUNT PEGGY. Midnight last night….. I get this email from Kelly saying read and watch me ASAP and I am like OMG it’s another video from Papa! (Long story short- Kelly sent me the CUTEST video ever from papa at the most perfect time last semester when I was stressed as hell from class) Took a bit to open but me and alexa left our friend’s apartment (saying this to point out we keep the buddy system! Haha) and I got home and watched it. TEARFEST 2011. CUTEST freeking thing ever and I will probably watch it every day. Kelly, send me those whenever you can! I LOVE THEM! And all you Lanasa’s-- you have Iphones too! Send me an email of Papa and Mama like that when you see them again please J!

So update since yesterday.. basically me, chris, and sam took a tour of the Italian ghetto then landed in the Italian Harry Potter World…….literally, just trying to find the post office. Looked at some nice cookbooks yesterday…..sucks I cannot buy them…..they’re in Italian. But then we split up to go home and me and sam were walking through the little market place and I am now convinced…… the STL version of the fleamarket (speaking of does anyone know if that’s still open??) has moved to Italy. They had the purse I stalked the fleamarket for for months!!!! Sandra Bullock’s orange purse she uses in The Proposal. Buuuuut I just got the new one from target sooo I didn’t get it.

Then we went to this little get together thing of all the students in the school.. Seriously annoying but everyone is so cliquey (spelling?).. Mingling was like not an option just like it wasn’t the other night either. Everyone was in their own little groups.. so annoying. So we left after a bit.. and stopped by this Kebob place Chris is in love with.

SIDE NOTE: (Emily, I e-mailed you this yesterday because you used to talk about what you were craving all the time so I figured you’d understand! Haha) Anyways.. I seriously will need like a nutritionist by the end of this. All I eat is simple sugars and carbs. No complex carbs, no salads, rarely protein, little fruit, no calcium.. etc. I NEED MEAT AND I NEED MY MILK! Haha! I am having a MASS craving for Chinese or a MASS load of BBQ Pork or chicken. Literally- all you springfielders----- Buckingham’s craving like no other right now. I am on the hunt for good Italian milk that is for sure. And also…… most people know I have desert after dinner no question about it. I don’t have that anymore. So depressing I know. DON’T GET ME WRONG their food is delicious that I am eating but man oh man do I miss Penn Station, Buckinghams, Subway, China King……anywhere where I can get a HUGE amount of meat and little bread and/or WHOLE GRAIN bread. HAHA and oh how I could go for a huge Schnucks or Pasta House salad right now. Basically I miss American portion sizes!! haha

But the reason I came up with that long last paragraph is because this kebob place had this HUGE thing of pork being cut right off the bone and I was just like AHHHHHH give me that WHOLE thing. Def. going there one day and just asking for a wrap with all pork and lettuce and tomato. And Kasie, Tricia, Deanne, Nikki too—you all can verify this…….i miss bacon!

End of protein missing rant- So then went and bought more wine.. White zin….easy choice I know I need to expand my horizons. HAHA but then went back to sams and just chilled and drank because it was way too cold to cross the river! Plus it was kinda rainy on our way back!

Most of my friends would laugh at this considering they know my overuse of acronyms way too much, but Amy from work told me I have to watch those!! HAHA I use them daily without knowing it so for clarification purposes because I know she’s not the only one who can’t understand my acronyms here’s a key J:

Can’t think of any more right now..

Anyways.. so today we have this little residency permit meeting and pay our stupid 75 euro to legally live here. HAHA

Then pretty much the rest of the day will consist of shopping and going out somewhere tonight..

But also, I have to call TMOBILE and crab like no other because they’re huge morons who don’t know what they’re doing.
